One day to go!

Hey!

Just wanted to remind you that the Chrismukkah poem competition ends up at midnight tomorrow (GMT.) So you have a little more than twenty four hours to get your entry in.

Since I had my little hissy-fit on here I've had tons of entries and I'm loving reading them. Remember it has to be some form of POEM about someone or something in one of my BOOKS left as a COMMENT here and the five best entries will win an advance copy of NOBODY'S GIRL, plus a bookmark and a poster.

I will post the winning entries on this here blog. You also don't need to keep reposting your comments - I haven't accepted any of them but have them archived as email notifications because I'm sure you don't all want your email addresses published on the interpipes.

I think that's everything. Remember, I love quirky and I love things that make me laugh or, at least, make me chuckle wryly.

Live on

Sarra x

Sorry, but I forgot to leave my name on the entry with the haiku about Brie. It's Winn. Thanks and sorry. *mumbles something along the lines of a stupid email address*

OMG. I'm so sorry for the spamming to your blog. Please ignore the first version, here's the revised version:

If only Brie could understand:
that lfie is not just LV,
there's Marc Freaking Jacobs!

REALLY SORRY FOR SPAMMING *hits self* so indecisive it's stupid.

my friends are scared of
the cover of "pretty things."
they don't care for feet.

I know one day
I'll look back and there'll have been a purpose
I'll be stronger or better
But for now
I just feel broken

Sonnet 131- that girl with the brown smudges on her face (Irina)

Irina is a girl who loves her food,
Born in Russia in a poor family,
If seen, she’ll most likely have a bad mood,
So take cover under the Christmas tree.
Known to spike make-up with stuff you’ll not like,
Fierce fashionista in anyone’s book,
Who fell for a guy whose name was not Mike,
But Javier, ooh that brasilian look!
They had deep feelings, but kept that well closed,
it was only revealed between the sheets,
Between them, hate continuely rose,
But after all that, their love was for keeps.
Now they’re together in Russia, Oh yeah!
Let’s hope their love lasts, at least to New Year !

BTW :Javier prounounced jav-ya, 2 syllables

I got an early copy of Nobody's Girl via Amazon. 3 weeks before the release date! Just one day after my purchase it was for pre-order again. Lucky lucky me!

Atticus

A love I never new of 'till today
As I face the sun and smell the air
I think of your undeniable beauty
Your soft curly hair and your gentian blue eyes.

I never cry but today I make an exception
Hot tears spring into my eyes
As I think of the first time we made love.
The heat from your body made me feel safe.
The beating of your heart became my anthem to life.

I can't forget your word that day,
"Oh God, you're fucking impossible"
You said. I love you like no other,
I say that while cringing. Your elegant hands, piercing eyes, aquiline nose, and perfect lips.

I couldn't ask for more.
But now my sand is sinking and I shall not fill my head with thoughts of you,
For there is where madness lies.
