Well, I'm softer than my face would suggest...

Hello pretty things

Writing this at twice the speed of light because I need to jump in the shower and wash off the gym sweat. I have a friend coming over this evening and there will be fish and chips with so much vinegar on them that it will hurt to eat them. There'll be some DVDs, possibly It Happened One Night and lots of wine, as I'm well over the legal drinking age! Ah, sleepovers never stop being fun.

So, before I say anything else, I just wanted to say a big thank you to HeartsOnFire and i'llnevertell for the beautiful comments about Let's Get Lost that you left on my last entry. I was deeply touched and also blushed a little. As I keep saying, it's a hugely personal book for me so I really appreciate it when it strikes such a resonant note with other people.

Now, I've been promising you a competition and I always try to keep my promises. My publishers have given me three very limited edition Let's Get Lost vests to give away. They're black, rather on the small side, with the cover image on them. To win one leave a comment telling me who you'd cast if you were making a movie from one of my books. Not just the boy and girl but any of the supporting characters too. Think about it because the prizes will go for the most original or interesting answers. And nobody is allowed to say that Adam Brody should play Smith! And don't forget to leave an email addy so I know where to contact you.

I'm afraid that I might not be able to update next Saturday as I'll be in LA interviewing someone for ELLE UK. But I might see if I can get access to a computer so one of my blog entries can be from somewhere glamorous! Then I'm in Paris after that. It all sounds impossibly cool I know, but not so much really. Especially as I spend most of my time in old jeans and a holey jumpers tapping away on my computer instead of going out and having adventures.

I'm now hard at work on my first book in a four book series. It's starting to come together, though a lot of what I'm writing now will probably get scraped as it's more important at this stage to just get the right voice going. But, hey, look how much I've written!

I am useles when it comes to knowing actors names, so i can only do a few of the charaters!!!!!

Smith- Heath Ledger (10 Things I hate About you)

Isabel- Keira Knightly (Pirates of the Carrabien)

Isabel's dad- Gary Oldman (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of azaban- I think that's how you spell his name, it's the guy who play Sirius Black)

That's all the actors i can think of right now, but i might ttry and add some more another time!

hmm....lets think
If 'Lets get lost' was being made into a film my casting would be

Evan Rachel Wood- Isabel
(she cant half throw a hissy fit)

James Franco-Smith
i just thought of him in the trailer for 'tristan and isolde'

Elisha Cuthbert (Girl Next Door)
-Molly

Tara Reid-Jane
Michelle Tratchenberg- Dot
Alana Allan (CAMP) - Nancy
Amanda Sayfried- Ella
James Marsters- Dad
Tom Felton- Rob
Nick Benson(Summerland)- Felix
Nicole Kidman- Faith Clarke
Brenda Bethlyn- Mrs Greenwood
Julie Walters- Mrs Benson

and totally unrelevant but if you were making Pretty Things into a book then 'Sophia Bush' would have to play Brie.

so if guitar girl were to be a movie:

MOLLY... JANE... Evan Rachel Wood (http://www.skins.be/wallpaper/evan-rachel-wood/20292/1600x1200/)

TARA... winona Rhyder - but like when she was in girl interupted not when she was in that stupid adam sandler movie

DEAN... the guy who played 'Trey' on the OC... icouldnt find his real name...

T... Emile Hirsch ( he played Jay Adams in Lords of Dogtown)

PAUL... the guy who is currently playing MATT on the OC

Sandrine... Keira Knightly

Blue... Jennifer Garner

Ruby X... well i couldn't decide for this one. It was a tie between Courtney Love and Britanny MUrphy.

Dot- Julia Stiles (10 Things I hate About You)

Jane- Larisa Oleynik (10 Things I Hate About You)

I've imagined Manning movies many times.
Hmm..I'll choose Diary of a Crush because Edie and Dylan are scrumptious.
Edie- Rachel McAdams
Rachel is incredibly cute with blonde hair. I could imagine her in Edies cute outfits being genrally cute and I think she could act the teen love angst really well (Notebook). She could also deliver Edies one liners with a fantastic charm and snog the face off Dylan.
Dylan-Jamie Bell
You cannot deny this boys talent. Ive been in love with him since Billy Elliot. He's charmingly british with scruffy hair and a wide acting range. Now he can really pull off the teen angst and charm the pants of Edie.
Shona- Thora Birch
Who else? The jet black bob, the dry humour and sulky looks yet she's still gorgeous. She's got an era about her and fits perfectly into Shona's character.
Mia- Keira Knightley
She's totally lovely but she can play a real hard ass bitch when she wants to. She'd be great at being fake then a horrible scheming bitch.

And theres your main cast. You like?

Hey. well i'm not sure that my other submition ever made it up here *tears* cause i haven't seen it and i did it a while ago so i'll just re comment it. k i did guitar girl:

MOLLY -- k i would definitely cast myself but since that just might not work out i would have to say Emily Browning. she definitely pulled her weight in the series of unfortunate events movie and she's not that well known so it'd be better then having like lindsay lohan or one of those people

JANE- Evan Rachel Wood. She's amazing. i loved her thirteen and she was also good in the upside of anger

TARA- Winona Rhyder, but how she was in GIrl, Interupted.

DEAN- the guy who played trey on the oc

T - Emile Hirsch he played Jay Adams in lords of dogtown. hook him up with some dreads and he's good to go

PAUL - the guy who played Matt on the OC

SANDRINE- kiera knightly

RUBY X- this was a tough one, a tie between Courtney Love and BRitanny Murphy. i think COurtney could definitely pull it off it's just that the character is kind of who she was for a part of her life and also she' spretty well known. Britanny Murphy could be pretty cracked out though.

BLUE- jennifer Garner

Excellent.
oh and my email is smell_the_glove_00@hotmail.com
and i am sorry if you actually did get my other submittion.
peace, love , Rock n roll,
Sara ~ XOXO ~
